Dog Days of Summer

The Early Bird Gets the Goat Poop
I’ve always been a morning person. When I met Ryan, I was amazed at his ability to stay awake until 2 a.m. and sleep until noon (in his defense, he was waiting tables when we met, which meant for lots of late nights).
Today, as a parent of two young kids, I’m glad I’m a morning person because, as it turns out, kids are morning people. As in “wake up at 5 a.m. people.” And 5 a.m. is early even for me. Especially on a Saturday. (more…)
